Atok Exploration is a Peruvian company born in the mining heartland of Pasco, a region whose geology, history, and exploration potential have inspired generations of geologists. Founded by Neftalí Muñoz Fernández, an exploration geologist with more than two decades of experience in project generation, discovery, and mineral exploration management, the company reflects a lifelong commitment to understanding the Earth's mineral systems and uncovering new opportunities.

Our founder
Neftalí Muñoz Fernández is a Peruvian exploration geologist with more than 20 years of experience in mineral exploration, project generation, and discovery. He is currently pursuing doctoral studies in Geological Sciences, complementing a career that combines extensive field experience with a strong scientific and technical foundation.
Throughout his career, he has led exploration programs for junior and major mining companies across Peru and South America, specializing in target generation, geological interpretation, drilling campaigns, and the evaluation of porphyry, epithermal, and polymetallic mineral systems. His professional approach bridges practical field geology with scientific research, allowing him to develop robust exploration models and innovative solutions to complex geological challenges.
Neftalí holds a Master's degree in Mineral Exploration from the Moscow Geological Prospecting University and has contributed to the generation, advancement, and discovery of multiple exploration projects, including participation in the discovery of the Azuca deposit and the advancement of several drill-stage prospects.
As Founder and Principal Director of Atok Exploraciones, he leads the company's technical vision, driven by a passion for exploration, curiosity, and the pursuit of new mineral discoveries. His work reflects a commitment to both scientific excellence and practical execution, transforming geological ideas into tangible exploration opportunities.
